Linear-Regression based Simple Empirical Model for Estimating the Band gap of Semiconducting-Nitrides

) and Axial-ratio (c/a) as predictors. The model self calibrated by the grown sample parameters predict a value of 2.86eV for Direct-E
g
of hexagonal ScN and 1.35eV for tetragonal YN. This empirical tool established on statistical approach will be used industrially for finding Eg of semiconducting nitrides.
