Effective data security for Vehicular Adhoc Network using a Novel ECC-based Authentication and Key Exchange

Now a days the number of smart devices usages around the World is greatly increased which practice more improvement in the area of intelligent transmission system (ITS) for the purpose of sensing analysis and effective communication technology for safety and mobility with proper traffic monitoring in the transportation sector. In order to provide effective intelligent communication proper traffic congestion monitoring with efficiency is required. For that purpose vehicular ad hoc networks are developed to attend flexibility in communication with proper traffic management using this cells organized vehicles. Due to the usage of huge number of vehicles in the particular area and with the presence of several external environments providing security and privacy for that transmitted data becomes highly essential so that the confidential of the data can be secured at the time when the data is travelling in an air medium. For that purpose in this article, effective data security for VANETs using the novel ECC based authentication with data exchange (EDVEA) is developed. The core processes of this model are ECC authentication process, intelligent system model and ECC authentication with key exchange process. This approach enhances the privacy and security of the network by using a mutual authentication model, hence improving the overall performance of the vehicle network. The EDVEA is implemented using the ns2 simulation platform, with the analysis focusing on calculating the end-to-end delay and routing overhead parameters. The results demonstrate that the performance of the EDVEA outperforms the previous baseline studies.
