Tech-Wrapped Recovery: Exploring the world of Band-Aid 2.0

As the socio-economic impact of chronic wounds increases, changes are needed in the way wounds are treated. Treatment requires non-invasive analytical tools. Modern wound care uses smart strips that contain sensors, microprocessors, and other electronic devices to monitor and speed up the healing process. It provides real-time feedback, tracks wound healing, monitors vital signs, including heart rate and blood pressure, and administers certain drugs. Treatments or electrical stimulation to promote tissue regeneration. Due to their immense potential as telemedicine sensors and personal health monitoring tools, wearable health monitoring gadgets have recently attracted a lot of interest. A Smart Bandage can monitor changes in temperature, pH, and moisture in the wound's layers. The objective of this paper is to present an exhaustive analysis of current advances in flexible and stretchy sensors, including identifiable health indicators, mechanisms, useable materials, production processes, and essential and desired attributes. This paper analyses the pertinent literature to better understand the state of smart bandage technologies for wound management.
