RCS Reduction of Slot Antenna using FSS Structures

In this paper, the radar cross section (RCS) of the rectangular slot antenna is reduced in out-of-band frequency range using frequency selective surface (FSS) structures. FSS can act as the band stop filter at the operating frequency of the antenna. It results in RCS reduction of the antenna. The proposed antenna has a resonance frequency of 3.4 GHz. The radiation pattern is maintained for the reduced RCS antenna structure.
