An Automatic RF Measurements with Vector Network Analyzer

The rapid evolution of wireless communication technologies has necessitated efficient and accurate characterization of RF components and systems. Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) have emerged as indispensable tools for such measurements due to their capability to analyze complex RF networks. This paper presents an automated, simplified test setup for RF measurement using VNA with 87% test time reduction compared to manual measurement. The proposed automatic measurement system is designed to streamline testing, reduce human intervention, and enhance measurement precision. It employs state-of-the-art automation techniques, integrating hardware and software components to perform a series of RF measurements seamlessly. Additionally, the paper discusses the development of a user-friendly graphical interface, providing an intuitive platform for customized test parameters, to configure & control the VNA, and visualizing measurement outcomes. The user interface enables straightforward batch processing and dumps auto-report generation.
