Smart Occupancy Rate for Library Visitors using Integrated Closed Circuit Television

Beautiful housing is obtained when there is a lot of automation. This is supported by the proposed Internet of Things (IoT). Smart occupancy is a system that can determine the number of people in a room; one of the techniques is to count the number of people entering the room using computer vision through Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras. With Smart Occupancy, users can detect many people in the room or occupancy. The library visitor calculation system currently relies on user interaction in writing or using an electronic presence. This study was made to assist the library in counting the number of people using Smart Occupancy. The results show that if the tool can detect people by labeling them in red, if an accuracy test is carried out, it can be correct by 88%, where this value is the valid value. Smart occupancy can be implemented as an alternative to the visitor counter system in the library.
