Multi Objective Optimum Design of Squirrel Cage Induction Motor Using Wild Horse Optimizer

Induction motor performance quality depends mainly on the best selection of the motor dimensions and design parameters. In this paper, wild horse optimizer WHO is adapted to get the optimum design of a three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. WHO is utilized to obtain maximum motor efficacy $\eta$, minimize the temperature rise $T_{r}$, weight per kilowatt ${R}_{g}$, and no-load current to phase current ratio $I_{g}$ involving all as multi objective problem. Also, WHO is utilized to get the motor design by optimizing each of the four terms individually. The presented scenarios are applied to find out the optimum design of 30 KW, 440 V, 4 poles squirrel cage induction motor. The optimized machine parameters include stator, rotor, tooth and air gap $l_{g}$ dimensions in addition to motor magnetic materials, flux density and weight. The obtained motor design parameters ensure the effectiveness of the used optimizer. The results prove that the objective functions can perfectly get the best previously mentioned motor data and the right materials. The obtained results by several independent runs of the presented scenarios showed the accurateness of the WHO.
