Efficient Networking Architecture for Fiber Optic Network Timing Service in New Power Systems

In the context of the construction of new power systems, the transmission network is related to the reliability and quality of the entire power grid, the economy and safety of power system operation, and the daily life of the people and the development of the national economy. High precision time synchronization is a strong guarantee for the safe and stable operation of distribution systems. The time-frequency synchronization technology based on fiber optic transmission has the advantages of high accuracy, high stability, and low loss. In recent years, fiber optic time-frequency synchronization technology has developed rapidly, with new methods, technologies, and applications constantly emerging. This article studies the problem of setting the main clock position reasonably and proposes a PTP domain division algorithm in fiber optic networks. Simulation results show that this algorithm can improve the time synchronization accuracy of clock nodes.
