Assessment of Grid-Connected Solar PV Plants in Bangladesh Perspective: Comprehensive Study

With the aim of identifying a suitable energy-generating process that only relies on the solar PV system, this study investigates 6 different power plants with varying module types and tracking modes. To select the recommended system for initializing in Bangladesh, all the systems are thoroughly evaluated from a technical and economic perspective, using RETScreen Expert software for delineating and analyzing pur-poses. The outcome analysis of performance indicators pointed out that the mono-crystalline dual-axis system is technically sound whereas the thin-film dual-axis system i s p referable eco-nomically. To accelerate Bangladesh's development, the minimal economic drawbacks of the mono-crystalline dual-axis system are neglected while recommending that this system can deliver 2.29 % additional energy to the grid than the thin-film dual-axis system.
