Cyberloafing Model -Theory into Practice

Teachers bear multitasking responsibilities on their shoulders. Amidst that personal usage of the internet during working hours can lead them astray from their tasks. Research studies have reported deviance in the work performance of organizations whose employees use the Internet for personal purposes during working hours. More specifically personal usage of the internet at the workplace is referred to as Cyberloafing. This study is done for the development and validation Cyberloafing scale. Standardization of a psychometric scale or test is the author's original creation and comes under the copyright benefit. Permission is required to use it lawfully. The present study was done on three hundred university teachers in Punjab (India). A four-factor structure was explored through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and further confirmed by the results of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) having a good model of fit. The scale applies to university teachers to assess their Cyberloafing Behaviour and is the original work of the researcher. The scale can be validated on other populations for research purposes.
