Design and Development of IoT-Based Solar Photo-Voltaic System

The Internet of Things (IoT) opens up possibilities for the internet to penetrate the practical sphere of human existence, which includes business and standard household ap-pliances. IoT enables individuals to sense and control items remotely through existing network infrastructure. It opens up several options for the direct integration of the real world with computerized systems. One of the most cutting-edge and futuristic technologies is solar power, which produces electricity using solar radiation. These panels are used in both residential and commercial areas. Solar photovoltaic systems integrated with Internet of Things technology are thought to be beneficial for system monitoring, supervision, and evaluation. This paper's primary goal is to provide an effective and reliable monitoring system with low cost and for calculating the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) of solar energy systems. The system has been developed with sensing circuit for data acquisition and a boost converter. Data from the power-generating units must be collected, and then it must be shared further. This communication is executed using the Internet of Things device, the Raspberry pi 4B. As a result, accuracy, efficiency, and economic value are gained in terms of time response characteristics.
