The Impact of Business Intelligence Systems on Organizational Decision-Making: An Applied Study of the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute in the Kingdom of Bahrain

This study demonstrates how business intelligence systems within the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) in the Kingdom of Bahrain significantly enhance decision-making processes by providing explicit definitions and emphasizing their practical relevance. It examines the impact of using business intelligence systems as an information technology tool to support management in making timely decisions. It further explores the effects of using business intelligence systems on the effectiveness of the decision-making process JLSI, which, like other institutions, can benefit from the use of these systems to collect, store, analyze, mine, and manage information to support effective decision-making based on accurate, reliable information. Based on the research on JLSI's middle, senior and executive (operational) management, this paper is organized into two sections: A theoretical first section introducing the study, a literature review, and a second section covering the statistical analysis. The study relies on data collected using a questionnaire and analysed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Data analysis found a statistically significant relationship between business intelligence and the decision-making process at JLSI. Business intelligence systems encompassing data mining, processing, and analysis strongly correlated with the decision-making process. In contrast, there was no correlation between the process of collecting and storing data and the decision-making process of JLSI. The conclusion presents a set of recommendations to enable JLSI to face the challenges of keeping pace with technological developments in an uncertain environment.
