Develop Soil Moisture Data Using Optical and Microwave Satellite Observations

High spatial (250 m) and temporal (daily) resolution Soil Moisture (SM) data was generated by developing a linear regrration (LR) relationship (R2= 0.95) between 250 m SM derived from TVDI (based on Optical and Thermal data) and MWCM (based on Microwave data). On the basis of statistical tests, we found that developed SM data is in good agreement with in-situ observations. Therefore, daily SM data at 250 m spatial resolution can be generated for agricultural applications like monitoring and assessment of agricultural drought.
