Capacitive Proximity Sensor Using Dickson Pump Charge Circuit

This paper presents a comparative analysis of five distinct circuits with slight variations using NI MULTISIM, focusing on three key factors: gain performance, circuit complexity, and applicability for capacitive proximity sensing. The study evaluates the gain performance of the circuits, with the 6-diode Dickson charge pump circuit emerging as the clear winner, exhibiting an impressive gain. This circuit's exceptional sensitivity and broad detection range make it highly suitable for applications demanding precision and accurate sensing outcomes. In conclusion, this paper highlights the significance of selecting the most appropriate circuit for capacitive proximity sensing applications. Engineers and researchers may use this thorough study to make well-informed choices when constructing capacitive proximity sensors for a variety of applications.
