Design of Four-Way Multiplexer with Integrated Lumped Elements for Qubit Characterization

In this paper, a four-way multiplexer with integrated lumped elements for qubit characterization is presented. Four band pass filters using third order Chebyshev configuration with desired center frequencies are connected to obtain the multiplexer characteristics. Initially, the multiplexer circuit is designed using ideal lumped elements which are later implemented as an integrated inductor or capacitor on a Silicon wafer. The multiplexer design is simulated, and their simulation results are discussed. A four-way multiplexer operating at 110 MHz, 130 MHz, 150 MHz, and 170 MHz is designed. The simulated insertion losses of the transmission bands are 1 dB, 1.5 dB, 1.3 dB, and 1.5 dB, respectively. An isolation of at least 16 dB is obtained between the output ports of the multiplexer.
