Systematic study of direct laser fabricated graphene resistor on commercial flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) circuit board

Organizations around the world are constantly in search of low-cost, high-efficiency and customizable processes for producing electronics products on printed circuit board. Current low-cost commercial production of resistors on PCB are often labour-intensive, time-consuming, and hazardous. The advancement of the photothermal pyrolysis method in producing laser-induced graphene (LIG) is an instant, low-cost, and highly efficient method for processing resistors. LIG also exhibits outstanding electrical, mechanical, morphological, and contactless properties. While research on LIG has been rampant, there remains a need to bridge the gap between lab-based studies of LIG and industry manufacturing standards. Results show that the performance of LIG is strongly dependent on the laser parameters.
