Captive Fleet Size and Usage Accumulation Determination and Optimization

This paper presents a systematic approach for quantifying the desired fleet size and usage in order to detect (catch) targeted failure modes of specified or estimated occurring probability from both statistical and cost minimization perspectives. The developed model and philosophy have a wide range of industry applications especially during new product introduction.
