Low profile Ultra Wide Band RCS reduction for Ku, K & Ka band using Polarization Rotation Reflective Surface

In this research, a low-profile metasurface is examined that could reduce the radar cross section by rotating the polarisation of the input electromagnetic wave upon reflection. By combining the effects of a circle and a triangle into a unit cell, the device is able to function across a wide bandwidth of 73%. The array can be utilised for RCS suppression over a wide frequency range with little tuning. This design is a departure from numerous precedents that consists of a single layer, on a thin substrate using standard fabrication process. Simulation and experimental findings are provided.
