Assessing Cybersecurity Awareness and Legal Literacy in Bangladesh

In an era defined by technological progress and the escalating prevalence of cyber-attacks, the need for a thorough understanding of cybersecurity has never been more evident. This study presents a meticulous analysis of cybersecurity awareness and comprehension of cyber law, at both the individual and organizationallevels, in Bangladesh. We conducted a rigorous survey of 500 participants from academic institutions and corporate establishments nationwide. By employing an extensive content analysis of the survey data, our findings unequivocally revealed a prominent lack of awareness regarding cybercrime among the majority of respondents. Furthermore, it highlights the urgent requirement for a clear understanding of Bangladesh's existing cyber laws among its population. Consequently, our study empha-sizes the crucial necessity of coordinated efforts within the nation to enhance cybersecurity awareness and disseminate knowledge about cyber law.
