The Deciding Divide: A Comparative Study on Exploring the Parallels and Contrasts in Decision-Making between Humans and Artificial Intelligence

In this study we delve into a analysis of decision making processes, between humans and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Our main objective is to explore and understand the similarities and differences in how humans and AI approach decision making. Through our research we shed light on the abilities possessed by humans, such as reasoning, emotional intelligence and adaptability as well as the reliance of AI systems, on programmed algorithms and data analysis techniques. We thoroughly investigate factors that influence decision making, such as information processing and reasoning methods employed by both humans and AI. To evaluate decision making patterns and reasoning capabilities we conduct experiments involving user responses alongside an AI chatbots performance. Our findings strongly emphasize that while AI systems excel in data processing abilities and making decisions they still lag behind humans in terms of skills, emotional intelligence and adaptability. By comprehending the strengths and limitations of each approach our study underscores the significance of harnessing the combined potential of both expertise and AI systems to enhance decision making across domains.
