Impact Of Information Technology On Organizational Commitment And Job Satisfaction

In this study, the impact of information technology (IT) on organisational commitment (OCM) and job satisfaction (JS) in Hyderabadi software firms was investigated. To evaluate the extent of information technology in Hyderabad organisations, six criteria have been established. The study's determination of how these specified information technology elements affect organisational engagement and work happiness is its tenacity. The data was gathered through a survey that N=420 software workers from 102 Hyderabad-based organisations completed. The study's key findings are stated below. The Hyderabadi firms' information technology is in good health, as shown by slightly above average results on these tests. The average number better reflects the emphasis that management places on contemporary Technology, which bodes well for the prospects. All information technology-related parameters and observed organisational performance are shown to have statistically significant, strong, and positive relationships in both the JS and OC dimensions. The three elements most closely related with information technology are its use, management's emphasis on it, and employees' excitement for using it. Organizational performance is most closely correlated with the linkages between communication, kind of job, and emotional involvement. A predictive influence of IT items on the observed continuous commitment is also shown by the regression analysis. The impact of management's attention on contemporary Technology and the motivation for employees to use it becomes more evident when contrasted to other independent elements. It is advised for top managers to continuously and methodically spend in the purchase and upkeep of contemporary information technology and to motivate staff to utilise it. The results of this investment and effort will be improved business outcomes and an increase in a number of organisational performance indicators, including job satisfaction and employee loyalty.
