UI/UX Development Based on Design Thinking Framework for Mentor on Demand Service

This research develops a website interface for the Mentor On Demand (MOD) service. This research aims to solve users’ problems finding and getting personal mentor guidance on the Skilvul online education platform. This research uses the Design Thinking framework to solve complex problems and understand user needs. Data was obtained from an online survey of 1043 Skilvul students and other secondary data. The final results of this study show that the development of the Mentor On Demand (MOD) application prototype meets user satisfaction in the user experiment of this prototype. The prototype passed the usability testing method with an average score of 6.2, which exceeds the usability standard of 5.5, using the single ease question (SEQ) as a usability metric. This research illustrates how user experience affects user interface development. This forms the basis for Skilvul’s product development regarding user interface and user experience.
