Distribution Network Line Loss Assessment Method Based on Data Clustering

The state of line loss in a transformer area is a vital factor that can be used to determine the appropriate steps to reduce the excessive power loss. In addition to the output of the power supply, other factors such as the load rate and the consumption of electricity from the user side are also taken into account to arrive at a comprehensive assessment of the line loss. The paper divides the distribution network’s power data into multiple categories using the FCM method, and then determines the level of line loss that is caused by each category. The three states of line loss are classified into high, normal, and low. The state of line losses in each category is then calculated and analyzed separately to come up with a comprehensive assessment.
