Optimal Power Flow Solution Using Gorilla Troops Optimizer

This paper presents a novel approach to solve the optimal power flow (OPF) problem using the Gorilla Troops Optimizer (GTO). This technique takes a number of equality and inequality constraints into account in order to minimize the total fuel cost, as well as the real and reactive power losses. The proposed GTO methodology is evaluated using standard IEEE 30 bus systems. The authors have compared the final results acquired using GTO with those obtained using ant lion optimization, particle swarm optimization, and teaching learning-based optimization methods. The simulation results have demonstrated superior performance of proposed GTO methodology in terms of cost and losses.
