Preoperative Simulation of the Kinetic Properties of Customized Prosthesis

Customized prostheses are mainly used in the acetabular region to repair bone defects. The study adopts simulation method to analyze the dynamics of the customized prosthesis. The pelvis model was established through CT images, and the lower limb motion was analyzed to obtain the joint motion parameters, and the lower limb simulation model was established. The motion parameters of the prosthesis were obtained through simulation analysis. Finite element analysis was used to calculate the stress-strain relationship and fatigue problem of the prosthesis and connecting screws. The simulation results are consistent with the actual patient motion and can be used for preoperative evaluation. The results of motion and force analysis showed that the two sides of the model showed alternating support and oscillation, and the maximum forces on the medullary joints of the prosthesis side and the normal side were 194N,804N and 204N,780N during flexion and extension movements, respectively, which varied in an alternating cycle with a small difference. The finite element simulation results indicate that more attention needs to be paid to the damage accumulation of the screws in the joint. This prosthesis model can better realize the functional reconstruction of the patient's pelvis and provide theoretical support for doctors to formulate treatment plans.
