Sine Cosine Algorithm-Based Fractional-order PID Controller for Load Frequency Control in a Single Area Nuclear Power Plant

The evaluation of the Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID) controller as the preferable alternative for Load Frequency Control (LFC) in nuclear power plants is examined in the article that is being provided, and the simulated results that are being demonstrated support the goal of load frequency control. For the analysis and optimization of the FOPID controller, Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA) has been used. The controller’s various attributes may very well be changed to produce a system that is more dependable and efficient. Additionally, a comparison of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and FOPID controllers is undertaken. Improvements in various dynamics such as maximum peak overshoot, rise time, and settling time of frequency response have been obtained with FOPID controllers as compared to traditional PID controllers.
