Optimization Design of Electrical System for Underwater Hybrid Energy Charging Platform

This paper comprehensively analyzes the electrical system of underwater charging stations (UCS). In order to facilitate the design of UCS electrical system, it is proposed to use the same circuit topology structure for lithium battery (LB) system DC/DC converter, fuel cell (FC) system DC/DC converter, and wireless power transmission (WPT) system DC/DC converter. The three types of DC/DC converters all adopt bidirectional double interleaved parallel Buck-Boost topology structure. It can achieve constant voltage output, constant current output, and bidirectional energy flow functions, respectively. This paper analyzes the electrical characteristics of this topology. The small signal model is established and the relevant transfer function is derived which can provide the foundation for the design of multifunctional controllers. To ensure the integrity of the electrical system design, the characteristic analysis of the compensation network of the WPT system is conducted. Based on the proposed optimization design method for the electrical system of the UCS, a simulation model was built to simulate the system stability and electrical characteristics of the compensation network of the WPT system.
