Modeling and Fitting of Doppler Power Spectrum in Troposcatter Channel

The study of Doppler power spectrum on the tro-pospheric scattering communication channel can aid in both the modeling of the scattering communication channel and the design of receiver algorithms. The mixed Gaussian power spectrum model is proposed by combining three scattering propagation mechanisms: classical turbulence incoherent scattering, irregular layer incoherent reflection, and stable layer coherent reflection, building upon the traditional Jakes power spectrum and Gaussian power spectrum introductions. The power spectrum of the measured scattering signal from the 200km link, spanning from Luquan district of Shijiazhuang city to Nampi county of Cangzhou city, is obtained using denoising through mean filtering and calculated with the Welch algorithm. Finally, the Genetic algorithm is employed to fit the power spectrum model and determine the optimal parameters. The results demonstrate that the mixed Gaussian model provides an optimal fit for the Doppler power spectrum characteristics of the scattering channel, This finding offers fundamental support for the modeling, design, and optimization of scattering communication systems.
