Ekalapalengke: A Calapan City Public Market E-Commerce Platform

Online grocery shopping is a new way of buying desired grocery products for household consumption. This research paper was able to design and develop an e-commerce website that enabled the citizens of Calapan City to buy products on the public market which eliminates the need for visiting stalls, saving time and effort. It allows consumers to purchase products without leaving their homes. Using an agile iterative approach, the system focused on delivering value as fast as possible in increments, rather than all at once. ISO 25010 standard was used as a guide in evaluating the performance of the system. The system delivers the appropriate service required for an e-commerce website based on the collected data. It provides the client with a great deal of assistance in managing orders, evaluating, and updating products, and ensures that customers are satisfied with each transaction they conduct using the system. The study was utilized to enhance the shopping experiences of people and it was implemented to improve people's shopping experiences and to contribute to coming up with a solution that would benefit the local economy through advocating local businesses and goods, as well as to offering a user-friendly e-commerce platform that enables access to purchase goods and products online for the citizens of Calapan City.
