Abstract:

In this paper, an omnidirectional beamsteering array antenna structure is proposed that uses renewable energy to remotely charge IoT devices. A 14x14 patch array antenna was designed with the Rogers RT Duroid 5880 substrate at 2.4 GHz. Six panels of these array antennas are combined into a 3D hexagon shape for omnidirectional radiation. The top of the 3D hexagonal structure is used for a solar panel with an area of 1.8298 m^{2} that can generate power up to 435 Watts.
