Abstract:

This article investigates the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in enhancing military training effectiveness. With the geopolitical climate intensifying and military conflicts growing more complex, VR becomes a key tool in modernizing military training methods. Through comprehensive analysis of scientific literature on VR's use in military exercises, this research identifies critical aspects and nuances for developing VR-based training simulators. The aim is to create a VR training application for shooting skills with military weapons, aimed at improving the training efficiency and motivation of Ukrainian military personnel while reducing time and costs. The study includes a literature review on VR technologies for military training, an examination of existing VR training tools worldwide, a comparison of current VR applications for military purposes, and an exploration of VR application development methods. The research culminates in the design, implementation, and real-world testing of a new VR training software, with an in-depth evaluation of its effectiveness. The focus is on skill acquisition in firearm operations through virtual reality glasses.
