Solar Powered MPPT Buck-Boost Converter Using Adaptive ML Algorithm and Smart Controller For DC Fast Charging Application

The utilization of photovoltaic (PV) systems for generating clean electricity has surged, yet their efficiency remains a concern. Researchers seek to enhance efficacy and extract optimum energy from PV panels through Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) inverters. These inverters rely on algorithms to identify the panel's Maximum PowerPoint (MPP). Simultaneously, the electric vehicle (EV) market experiences rapid growth due to incentives and eco-consciousness, necessitating swift charging stations. Traditional grid-based stations strain resources and exacerbate carbon footprints. This research highlights the promising prospects of establishing a sustainable and efficient DC EV charging infrastructure that leverages renewable energy resources. Our approach involves a Solar Powered MPPT Buck-Boost Converter, incorporating an adaptive machine learning (ML) algorithm and an intelligent controller designed specifically for high-speed DC charging applications.
