A Research on Wide Voltage Range DC-DC Converter for DC Distribution System

In order to construct a low-voltage bipolar DC distribution system with a wide input voltage range, a DC-DC converter and a voltage balancer are required. A boost-type LC resonance is proposed to achieve voltage balancing without an additional voltage balancer. By integrating two interleaved parallel Boost inductors, the gain range of the LC converter can be broadened and the input current ripple can be reduced. Additionally, each bipolar output is independent, so that if one path fails, the other path can still output normally, ensuring the reliability of the system. A hybrid control method of pulse width modulation (PWM) with single-phase shift is also proposed to achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for all switches. Finally, the effectiveness of the converter is verified through a l-kW simulation model.
