A Novel Sparse Array for Non-Gaussian and Quasi-Stationary Sources

In this paper, we propose a novel super sparse nested array with larger virtual array aperture. Specifically, the number of consecutive lags, the number of different lags and virtual array aperture are derived with quantitative evaluation and comparison, and the corresponding array composition parameters for optimized array structures are also provided. In the non-Gaussian and quasi-stationary scheme, the subspace method and the cumulant method are used for source characteristics. Some simulation results prove that the proposed array exhibits a superior performance.
