A Novel MSGO MPPT Controller Based Hybrid Flyback-Cuk Converter for EV Applications

Non-renewable energy sources are booming in power generation for stationery and transportation applications, as fossil fuels are expected to become fully depleted in a short time. The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has ushered in a new era of sustainability in the automobile sector. The main objective of the current study is to apply enhanced converter and controller topologies with hybridized energy sources to meet the energy requirements and speed control of EVs. An intelligent Malleable Gravitational Search Optimization (MGSO)-based control model is developed for both PV and FCs to facilitate the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) phenomenon. The outputs of PV and FCs are increased in this study with a high voltage gain, using the hybrid Flyback-Cuk converter. Additionally, this study focuses on improving power quality and reducing harmonics for efficient EV control. This paper involves extensive simulations and comparative analyses to assess the efficacy of the proposed framework.
