A Dynamical Artificial Bee Colony for Energy-Efficient Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling with Batch Processing Machines and Reentrant

Energy-efficient hybrid flow shop scheduling problem (EHFSP) with batch processing machines (BPM) is seldom considered, let alone EHFSP with BPM and reentrant. In this study, EHFSP with BPM and reentrant is solved and a dynamical artificial bee colony (DABC) is presented to minimize makespan and total consumption of energy of all batch processing machines simultaneously. To produce high quality solutions, swarm decision is used to dynamically determine employed bee swarm and onlooker bee swarm. Adaptive onlooker bee phase and adaptive scout phase are implemented. A lot of experiments are conducted. The results of computation demonstrate that the new strategies of DABC are valid and DABC is very competitive on solving EHFSP with BPM and reentrant.
