5G NR: Enhanced QC-LDPC Code Development

The fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) standard relies heavily on QC-LDPC codes to effectively rectify errors in data lines. To achieve the exacting standards of high capacity and low latency, the QC-LDPC codes' encryption and decoding in the 5G NR system requires a number of optimizations. The rate matching procedure, which chooses particular code bits for transfer and eliminates the need to encrypt and decrypt unused bits, is a crucial component. This study presents an effective 5G NR-specific application for QC-LDPC codes. It focuses on full-base matrix optimization by pruning, resulting in increased efficiency for QC-LDPC algorithms in 5G NR.
