Offset-Free Data-Driven Model Predictive Control: Application for Aero-Engine Speed Control

This paper provides a data-driven model prediction control scheme for the unknown linear system. In order to remove the offset caused by the disturbance, we establish an uncertain model of external disturbances and connect this uncertainty model in series with the controlled plant. This scheme is based on the theory of behavior-based systems and utilizes offline input-output trajectories to describe the system dynamics and predict the behavior of controlled plants without prior knowledge of it. The effectiveness of the presented approach is proved with a numerical example which uses a commercial turbofan engine as the controlled plant on the Matlab.
