Study on the Aging Service Performance of Fluorine Ether Rubber Sealing Rings for Aircraft Engines Considering Combined Operating Conditions

The failure mechanism and influencing factors were first analyzed in response to the aging problem of fluoroether rubber sealing rings used in high-performance aircraft engines under vibration, high temperature, pre-compression force, etc. Secondly, the performance characterization parameters were studied from various aspects such as rheological performance, medium resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance, and weather aging resistance. Performance degradation tests were designed considering combined operating conditions. Based on experimental data, the performance degradation law of fluoroether rubber sealing rings was analyzed. According to experimental data analysis, fluoroether rubber can meet the sealing performance requirements of aircraft engines under combined operating conditions, and compression set deformation can be used to characterize its aging performance degradation.
