Offline Detection of Source-Network Coordination Performance with Generator Speed Control Excitation System

With the continuous expansion of power grid interconnection, the power grid's ability to optimize energy allocation has been greatly improved, and the safe and stable operation of the power system has been brought great pressure. Based on actual modeling, the accuracy of power grid stability analysis is getting higher and higher, and the actual power grid transmission capacity is getting closer and closer to the analysis and calculation limit. As the most important dynamic components, the generator set and its control system must give full play to its basic supporting role in the security and stability of the power grid. However, in recent years, a series of power grid disturbance events related to power plant control and protection defects/function imperfection have occurred, which have brought some hidden dangers and threats to the safe and stable operation of power grid. Generally speaking, on the one hand, the rapid development of power grid construction and the significant increase of transmission capacity have brought great pressure on the safe and stable operation of power system. On the other hand, as the basic support for the safety and stability of the power grid, the control and protection system of the conventional power station is still incompatible with the development of the current power system in many aspects, such as standards, detection methods and testing methods. In the face of these two problems, we need to change from passive to active, and actively study the performance index requirements of power plant control and protection system source network coordination, so as to make technical preparations for the revision and improvement of relevant standards. Research on off-line detection techniques for source and network coordination performance of power plant control and protection systems, implement standards and requirements, and ensure the safety and stability of power grid equipment quality. In addition, the prototype of off-line detection device which can be applied in power plant field is developed and trial-produced, which provides technical support for the popularization of off-line detection technology and the improvement of source network coordination performance of power plant control and protection system.
