Research on the Participation of Electric Vehicle Clusters in Grid Peak-Shifting Services Under the Aggregated Commercial Framework

Electric vehicles (EVs), being a valuable resource capable of interacting with the power grid, are widely distributed across various regional power grids. Aggregating a large number of dispersed EVs to participate in auxiliary services of the power grid has emerged as a novel approach to promote the development of a modern power system. This study focuses on the aggregation management of EVs and peak load regulation of the auxiliary power grid. Based on the time scale, the EV clusters are categorized, and the aggregation management areas are defined. The Latin hypercube method is employed to simulate the random distribution of EV clusters. The dispatchable potential of EVs is evaluated through index analysis, and the dispatchable potential of EV clusters is assessed using fuzzy theory. A peak load regulation strategy for EV clusters under the aggregator model is proposed, and simulation and case analysis demonstrate that the proposed strategy enables EV clusters to effectively fulfill the peak load regulation tasks of the power system.
