Implementation of AI Techniques in Micro-Grid Control Environment

Nowadays Micro-grids are becoming very popular by providing us with the facilities of distributed energy resources. Also, it deals with the formation of a consumer/prosumers-centric integrated energy system. Its tasks are to deal with the unification, analysis, and control of Distributed Energy Resources & help do management related to the transition of energy in the environment. And as the survey states, the techniques we are using in control are not enough to support the dynamic environment of micro-grids. Then here comes AI (Artificial Intelligence). Implementations of Artificial Intelligence techniques become one of the better solutions to deal with the operational analysis of micro-grids in the upcoming smart grid networks. Here this paper actually describes the disadvantages, techniques that are actually existing, architecture that is used in controlling the micro-grids, and then there is need for brilliant controllers and then concludes it with a brief review of the possibility of Artificial Intelligence implementations in different control structures with a prime focus on the control layers. This paper here also deals with AI (Artificial Intelligence)-based control strategies in network & multi-micro-grids environments. Finally, there will be a conclusion including the & future reach of AI (Artificial Intelligence) implementations in control layers hierarchy & structures which includes single & networked micro-grids environment.
