Securing IIoT Against DDoS attacks: A Stochastic Approach

In this paper, we propose a novel approach for securing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) networks against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks using stochastic methods. The approach integrates stochastic analysis and random decision-making processes to identify and mitigate the attack in real-time. The proposed approach aims to effectively address the limitations of traditional deterministic methods, which can be insufficient in handling the complexity and variability of IIoT networks. We evaluate the performance of our proposed approach through extensive simulations. Our results demonstrate that the proposed stochastic approach can significantly improve the resilience of IIoT networks against DDoS attacks, providing a promising solution for securing these critical infrastructures.
