Control and Monitoring of pH Process

The pH neutralization process is considered as highly requisite in many applications such as pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, chemical industries, power plant and many more. The process in which opposing solution is added to acid or base in order to achieve desired pH value is known as pH control. The pH neutralization process is highly non-linear and has time varying characteristics. The aim of our project is to simulate the pH neutralization process using various controllers and to compare the evaluation criteria obtained from the output response. Conventional PID controller, Fuzzy controller and Neuro – Fuzzy controllers are implemented using is MATLAB 2010. The Performance criteria such as IAE, ISE and ITAE of the conventional and intelligent controllers are compared and efficient method in overcoming the errors occurring in pH Process.
