AR Based Vehicle Diagnostic Tool

Automobile has revolutionized the way we live and work. It has given us the freedom to travel where and when we want. However, the increase in automobiles has also had a number of negative consequences, such as air pollution, traffic congestion. Today, there are over 1.4 billion automobiles on the road worldwide. Due to this the amount of vehicles on road has also been increased in which accidents also takes place. These accidents may occur due to error in vehicle parts such as brakes, tyre, steering, and other electrical, mechanical parts of vehicle. Around 1,20,000 accidents are been filed due to defect in vehicle parts, so the need for fault detection in vehicles is also an essential one, the precaution of these errors can prevent accidents and can save a human life, so to provide this facilities, a vehicle diagnosis tool is been brought up using augmented reality (AR). It is used for the detection of various defect that occurs in the vehicle, by using Augmented reality the defect parts will alone be displayed in a mobile application developed. The data will collected through On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II)As a result the flaw in the vehicle will be detected as early as possible, due to this the accidents that occurs due to failure of car accessories such as brake failure, flat tyres, electrical system failure, steering failure, gear shift module failure and many more can be detected as early as possible.
