Machine Learning for Brain Tumour Detection: A Systematic Review of Segmentation and Classification Methods

A brain tumour is an abnormal development of brain tissue that disrupts normal brain function. The proper diagnosis of a brain tumour relies heavily on its correct identification. This article discusses the pros and cons of recently developed technologies for diagnosing brain tumours. We propose a generic flow map that can be used in many different situations, including the detection of brain tumours. The many accessible datasets are given for use in evaluating brain tumour algorithms. There is a need for research that identifies brain tumours with decent efficiency and fair effort, therefore this article compares the performance of recent literature additions in terms of Accuracy, Sensitivity, Specificity, and time consumption.
