Fire PyroSim Simulation Under Different Ventilation Modes of High Voltage Cable Channel in Substation

With the improvement of China's industrialization level, underground high-voltage cable transmission methods have been widely used. By taking appropriate ventilation measures, it plays an important role in improving the fire situation and improving the safety and reliability of cables. Therefore, based on ParoSim fire simulation software, a fire simulation model of underground high-voltage cable trench was established, and the temperature field and flue gas propagation changes in the trench were analyzed through the mechanical ventilation along three Cartesian coordinates, and it was found that the x-axis ventilation could reduce the overall temperature of the trench, but the effect on flue gas inhibition was not obvious. Y-axis ventilation mainly inhibits the temperature propagation downward and reduces the smoke concentration on the ignition side. Ventilation along the z-axis increases the temperature in the middle and lower part and decreases the temperature on the non-ignition side, but only inhibits the temperature at the vent. In this paper, the applicable working conditions under the three ventilation modes are obtained through the ventilation simulation in different directions, which provides theoretical guidance for the fire prevention and evacuation work of firefighters.
