Optimal Design of Wind Energy Storage Microgrid Operation with Compressed Air Energy Storage

The increasing scarcity of energy resources poses a significant challenge, particularly with industrial energy consumption accounting for 65% of the total social energy use. Therefore, optimizing industrial energy efficiency becomes crucial for ensuring sustainable development. To address this, this paper proposes an innovative solution - a comprehensive energy system for industrial parks based on clean and low-carbon energy sources, aimed at improving energy utilization efficiency and establishing an efficient, clean, and low-carbon energy industry.In this study, we focus on the introduction of compressed air energy storage technology within a wind-solar complementary system. Firstly, we effectively utilize a heat exchanger to recover the thermal energy generated during the compressed air energy storage process, satisfying the industrial thermal load demand and achieving cascade utilization of heat energy. Secondly, we store excess wind and solar energy as high-pressure air and high-temperature heat energy, and through flexible energy conversion technologies, supply the industrial park's load demand in the form of thermal, electrical, and gas energy. Lastly, an optimization operating mode is employed to achieve the system's optimal performance.Through these innovative designs, this research aims to highlight new ideas and approaches in addressing energy utilization in industrial parks. We believe that this study will provide important theoretical and practical guidance for enhancing industrial energy efficiency, promoting the application of clean energy, and fostering low-carbon economic development.
