Smart Energy Meter Design with Notifications and Over-Electric Energy Consumption Cut-off with ESP32 MCU Node Using the Blynk IOT Application

This research aims to create a Smart Energy Meter that can monitor, notify, and terminate excessive electrical energy use on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the Blynk Iot application as the IoT platform. The NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller is used in this Smart Energy Meter, along with other components such as the PZEM 004T sensor module, Relay 1 channel Arduino, and the IoT platform, specifically the Blynk IoT application. This system is expected to be capable of monitoring voltage, current, power, frequency, and electrical energy used Power Factor (Cosphi) on electronic equipment and calculating the cost of using electrical energy. This system is also expected to send alerts when electrical energy consumption reaches 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% (Trip) of the maximum limit of 0.2 kWh. This disconnect occurs when electricity reaches the maximum value of electrical energy use determined at the outset, namely 0.2 kWh.
