A Low-Noise Amplifier with Bandwidth Extension and Noise Cancellation for 5G Receivers

This paper proposes a wideband Low-Noise amplifier (LNA) with low power consumption for 5G receiver frontends. The presented LNA is a two-stage amplifier to obtain sufficient gain over the wide frequency range from 1 GHz to 6 GHz. The proposed LNA has been simulated in a standard TSMC $0.13 \mu \mathrm{m}$ CMOS process using ADS. It achieves a minimum Noise Figure (NF) of 2.61 dB by using a novel noise-cancellation scheme. Also, a new technique has been proposed to improve the input matching and the maximum $S_{11}$ is almost −8 dB over the specified frequency range. . The simulation results prove that the LNA has a relatively flat gain with the maximum S

of 15.8 dB. The two-tone test shows that the IIP3 is approximately equal to 1.35 dBm.
